21-22 School Information

January 18, 2022

A student in 11th grade tested positive for COVID-19.  The student was last on campus on Tuesday, 1/18/2022.  MCISD asks that you watch your child for signs or symptoms of COVID-19. If your child becomes symptomatic, the school does provide rapid testing for the virus.  If you are concerned about your child getting the virus on campus, you have the option of having your child wear a mask here at school.

A student in 8th grade tested positive for COVID-19.  The student was last on campus on Wednesday, 1/12/2022.  MCISD asks that you watch your child for signs or symptoms of COVID-19. If your child becomes symptomatic, the school does provide rapid testing for the virus.  If you are concerned about your child getting the virus on campus, you have the option of having your child wear a mask here at school.

Two faculty members at the secondary have tested positive for COVID-19.  The faculty members were last on campus on Tuesday, 1/11/2022.  MCISD asks that you watch your child for signs or symptoms of COVID-19. If your child becomes symptomatic, the school does provide rapid testing for the virus.  If you are concerned about your child getting the virus on campus, you have the option of having your child wear a mask here at school.

September 13, 2021

At 9:23am today, the McMullen County Police Department called and placed the school on lockdown out of an abundance of caution related to a police chase near the school.  The school immediately locked down the building and secured all students.  At 9:37, the school was notified by the police department that the chase had ended and all suspects had been detained.  At 9:38, the school lifted the lockdown.  As is our policy, we send notification to parents of the lockdown once the situation has been resolved.
