McMullen County’s boys basketball team won its district title by beating Nordheim 66-54 on Feb. 12 to win the District 1A-32 title, finishing the district schedule 8-0. The Cowboys (22-7) beat San Antonio-Stacey 41-28 in a warm-up game on Feb. 15. The Cowboys have a bye through district and will play its area round game Thursday against Waelder at 6 p.m. in Falls City.
